With Maggie Fekete

I practice a holistic approach to health and wellness, which means that I look at how all areas of your life are connected. Does stress at your job or in your relationship cause you to overeat? Does a lack of sleep or low energy prevent you from exercising? As we work together, you will see how all parts of your life affect your health as a whole. My approach is to work with clients to create a happy, healthy life in a way that is flexible, fun, and rewarding.

With commitment and dedication, together we will work to reach your health and wellness goals in the following areas:

  • Maximizing energy levels
  • Improving quality of sleep
  • Understanding and reducing cravings
  • Learning about general wellness, new foods, and how to easily incorporate them
  • Feeling great in your body
  • Achieving optimal weight
  • Discovering the confidence to create the life you desire
  • Setting and accomplishing goals in a way that is empowering

As we work together, we will develop a deeper understanding of the food and lifestyle choices that work best for you and implement lasting changes that will improve your overall health and wellness. Your power sessions will include:

  • Exploration of concerns specific to you and your body
  • Discovering the tools you need for a lifetime of balance
  • Profound wellness insights that will increase your health and nutrition knowledge
  • Guidance and coaching to help you make lasting lifestyle changes
  • My personal commitment to being on your team

Are you ready to start feeling better than ever?

We will start our partnership with a consultation. Your consultation is an opportunity for me to get to know you through a detailed nutrition and health assessment. Following the assessment, we will discuss how I can be of service to you in reaching your wellness goals. A consultation over the phone or via the internet can be arranged per request.

About Maggie Fekete

I earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Cincinnati, with coursework approved by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND). Coursework included food and nutrition sciences, food service systems management, sociology, biochemistry, physiology, microbiology, anatomy and chemistry.

I completed a graduate-level dietetic internship with The Ohio State University. My supervised practice experience included health-care facilities, community agencies, and food service corporations.

I have experience working in the Nutritional Services Department of various hospitals, including University of Cincinnati Medical Center, Cincinnati VA Medical Center, The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Riverside Methodist Hospital, Cincinnati Children’s, Rutherford Regional Health Systems, Florida Hospital Orlando, Florida Hospital for Children, and The Baby Place at Florida Hospital’s Women’s Center.

Certified Health Coach + Board Certified Holistic Health Practitioner

I received training as a Certified Health Coach (CHC) from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, which is in partnership with the State University of New York at Purchase and is licensed by the New York State Education Department.

During my training, I studied dietary theories, practical lifestyle management techniques, and innovative coaching methods with some of the world’s top health and wellness experts. My teachers included Dr. Walter Willett, Chair of Nutrition at Harvard University; Dr. David Katz, Director of Yale University’s Prevention Research Center; Dr. Andrew Weil, Director of the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine; Dr. Deepak Chopra, leader in the field of mind-body medicine; and many other leading researchers and nutrition authorities.

My education has equipped me with extensive knowledge in holistic nutrition and preventive health. I practice a holistic approach to health and wellness, mindfully observing how all areas of life are interconnected. At the conclusion of my training, I became a Board Certified Holistic Health Practitioner (BCHHP).

Certified Personal Trainer

I studied Exercise Science at a collegiate level, in addition to Nutrition, Public Health, and Nursing. In 2012, I started offering private appointments for flexibility and balance training as an Experienced and Registered Yoga Teacher.

In February 2024, I started noticing an influx of special requests for private strength training and endurance training appointments. In an effort to meet these needs, I started offering Strong Zen Yoga, where hand weights and ankle weights are used during a fusion sequence of yoga, tai chi, and qigong. This offering remains well received and a community favorite.

After 14 months of positive feedback and results from Strong Zen Yoga, I wanted to take everyone to the next level. For my 40th trip around the sun, I set a goal to become a Certified Personal Trainer, and in early August 2025 I graduated from the American Council on Exercise’s NCCA-accredited Personal Trainer Certification Program, passing the proctored final examination on my first attempt.

As a Certified Personal Trainer, my focus is on helping others age gracefully, preserve and improve muscle mass, and redefine what flexibility and balance look like across the lifespan.
